Separate precision LED displays for gain reduction, compression threshold and gate threshold allow quick, accurate setup, while the 166XL's intuitive operation lets users easily smooth uneven levels, add sustain to guitars, squash drums or tighten up mixes. In Stereo couple mode, the Channel 1 controls become Master controls, and Channel 2 fol- lows precisely to ensure a rock solid stereo image - even with high amounts of compression, through True RMS Power Summing. Samson The S Com 4 is a single rack space device that provides four channels of dynamics processing with an Expander/Gate and Compressor/Limiter. The four channels operate individually or as a pair of stereo dynamics processors. Multi-segment LED metering displays input and output level as well as Gain reduction. The Expander/Gate section features Threshold control as well as a switch to select either fast or slow release times. The Compressor/Limiter section includes variable Threshold, Ratio and Output levels. The S Com 4's Auto attack and release mode constantly analyzes the audio input and automatically adjusts attack and release parameters based on the changing input level. |
